Giving Advice on How to Deal with Dilemmas

Dear Nori,

How have you been? I have heard about your problem, not to judge anything, I just want to discuss some of my advices for your dilemma. In your letter, I understand your helplessness of being frightened to present in front of the class and afraid that your classmates will laugh at you. In my opinion, being nervous is very normal, but it might affect your grades or something else if you don’t solve it. Why don’t you present to one or two friends first? It could help you a lot by preventing getting frightened or stammered. Or if you are still shy, your could choose to present to the mirror. Tell yourself, practice makes perfect. It is how you establish confidence and positive thinking. It is also how “You are not alone” works, to feel safer and more comfortable.

Also, whenever you speak, fluency is very important. I suggest you to take deep breaths before you speak to calm your mind and reduce fear.

If these suggestions don’t work, watching confident speakers speak so that you can learn from them. Under the same theory, “Believe in yourself can make you half way to the success”. These are the suggestions that I can give you. Practice more and more to build your confidence.

Yours,
Josh
