Pokemon Cards

Outside of school, I love to play and rip Pokémon cards. I enjoy this hobby very much because it is very interesting as every card has its specialty and value. Every 1 to 2 months, I go to card shows in card shows we can buy cards, open packs of trade cards, and even battle with other people’s cards. For example, if you use your cards to battle with another person’s cards and you may win, you will get one card on the opponent’s team.

This hobby is very exciting as well because we can rip Pokémon card packs which is like a mystery pack, there is a chance of pulling a very rare card. The higher rarities are, SAR, AR and MUR. If you see these letters printed on the bottom left corner of the card, it means it’s a valuable card. Cards also have different languages but the most popular are English and Japanese which are also available to buy in card shops in Hong Kong.

Although this hobby is fun, it also costs money. At this moment, it is about twenty-five HKD for a normal Japanese pack which contains 5 cards per pack and fifty HKD for a jumbo pack which contains 10 cards per pack. A lot of people don’t just collect them, they also sell them, just lately, a YouTuber called Logan Paul sold his card for 16.4 million USD!

I suggest students to join this hobby because you can rip packs and battle or trade with your friends. If you manage to pull a unique card, you can grade it and sell it so you can make money used from purchasing the packs. Opening packs with your friends is a memory you’ll never forget.
