Last Sunday night, my parents went to see my school’s performance. My brother was sick and could not attend, so he was left home alone. Soon after we had left, my brother went to play video games in his room.

While my brother was playing video games happily, he heard some strange noises downstairs. At first, my brother thought it was just the wind, but after a second, my brother heard some very loud noise downstairs in the living room. He was very scared. He wanted to see if our parents had come back, but he saw a random car outside from his window. When he went up to the window, there was a stranger’s car outside and our door was wide open. He knew that there were robbers, so he hid under. After a few moments, he heard the robbers move. He kept himself as quiet as a mouse, but his heart was pounding like a drum. After he heard the sound of a car leaving, he quickly went down to check what they had stolen. The living room was in a mess, they had opened every single drawer and pulled everything out. Then he remembered his newly bought Nintendo Switch, so he quickly rushed to check. Phew! It was still there. He was relieved. He quickly called mom and told her what had happened and she told him she had called the police and asked him to keep calm and wait for the police.

I thought my brother was very brave. However, after that incident, my brother has always been scared to be home alone again.
