Life without a sense

Life without hearing is challenging. People with hearing difficulties have issues with waking up because they cannot hear any alarm clock. They face greater daily risks because they cannot hear warning signals. For example, they cannot hear approaching cars when they cross the road. They may not escape a fire because they cannot near the fire alarm. Also, they struggle with conversations because they find it difficult to understand other’s speech.

Loss of hearing causes much inconvenience. It has positive effects, too. People who cannot hear do not get disturbed easily. They are more attentive during a conversation and are more capable of using other senses, like touching and vision.

Technology helps people with hearing difficulties. Hearing aids work by amplifying sound or sending signals directly to the brain. There are mobile applications to convert conversation into text. People with hearing loss use special alarm clocks with vibrations and lights to wake them up in the morning.

Life without a sense can be difficult but we can always cope with it with innovation and a happy mind!
