What kinds of hobbies do you like? Are you interested in taking up a new one? Let me give you some advice on taking up a new hobby.

First of all, you have to know your personality, whether you are creative, talented or if you like working in teams. If you are creative, you could choose photography or arts. If you are patient, you should pick some hobbies such as gardening and crafting since both of those take lots of patience. For example, if you choose gardening, you could develop a sense of achievement from your gardening work.

Moreover, you need some equipment to try a new hobby successfully. For example, some paint brushes for drawing, new sneakers for sports, and some D.I.Y. crafts for crafting. Also, I would encourage you to join something you want to try and not be forced into one that you do not like. In addition, you should reflect on what you have learnt from doing that hobby.

Remember that you may not succeed in one day or in one lesson. You have to practice for good achievement. Just like the proverb says, “Practice Makes Perfect”! For example, if you want to learn swimming, the first day you only learn the basics but remember – don’t give up! After you keep practicing for a few months, you might succeed!

Lastly, I want to suggest a few more hobbies for students to try outside school. For example, running, swimming and learning a new musical instrument.
