The Road to Become Immortal

I woke up and found a shining crystal on the table behind my bed. I looked closely; there wasn’t a note attached to it. I picked up the crystal and read aloud: “You are a lucky one. If you want to be immortal, put this crystal in the sword located in the Ice Cave on the Ice Mountain.” I thought for a while and decided to accept the challenge. I changed my clothes, packed my bag, carefully put the crystal in my pocket, and started the journey to become immortal.

I took a taxi to the legendary blacksmith’s shop. It was called “legendary” because it had all kinds of famous swords and shields. I told the shopkeeper I wanted the best sword available. He handed me a sword with curly spikes along the blade and a magical aura swirling around it. I bought it, took a taxi again, and went to the foot of the ancient Ice Mountain. There were barely any people around.

I asked a man nearby, “How do I get to the Ice Cave? ”Kid, don’t you dare go to the Ice Cave,” he warned. “A lot of people have tried to go there, but they all died.” “I don’t care—just tell me where it is!” I said. “Fine, if you’re so determined. Follow the path up there and you’ll find the Ice Cave,” he replied. “Be careful!”

I followed the path and saw the ice; at first it didn’t look so dangerous. I walked inside and saw the sword gleaming. I stepped forward toward it, but suddenly a yeti appeared beside the sword and roared. I was petrified for a moment, then gripped my sword tightly and fought back. The yeti was strong and landed heavy punches and kicks. It threw a punch at me, but I blocked it, moved behind it, and stabbed it in the chest. The yeti roared loudly and, in desperation, threw ice shuriken’s that cut my arm. I pulled one out, then hurled my sword at the yeti with all my strength. It fell to the ground and vanished. I walked to the sword with blood dripping from my arm.

I took the crystal and placed it into the sword. The blade flew into my hand, and a surge of power ran through my body. My wound healed instantly. I screamed, “I did it—finally!”
