“I’m really looking forward to this day” I told to the staff at the counter, and he looked at me with a look like I was over-excited, but I didn’t care about him and continued talking, “Because I wanted to bring my dog with me, I had to go to a lot of places to have my dog with me in this trip to Japan!” After I said that, I looked at the staff and he looked at me with an awkward smile like he was listening. After I looked, I kept talking, “I’m very excited for the meat there too! And I’m going to the meat market the first thing I’m there!”

I went on to the plane shaking and moving excitedly. After a few hours, I finally landed in Tokyo, Japan. I immediately went to the meat market after I put my things in the hotel with my dog and went for some yummy meat I longed to eat for weeks.

After I bought the meat, I went to the hotel as fast as I could so I could cook them. But after I ate the meat faster than light, I found out my dog was shaking and was lying on the floor. So I took my dog to the nearest vet I could find from Google map. After I got there, I saw no one but the vet and said, “Please save him, he’s only five years old!” And the vet took my dog, went into one of the rooms there, and closed the door that said “diagnosing in progress”. After I left my dog there, I waited for half an hour for the vet to come out, and when he came out his face was sad. So I asked him anxiously, “what happened to him?” The vet said softly, “He was infected with an incurable disease that comes from uncooked meat, and the disease will kill him in a few days.”

After I heard what would happen to my dog, I started to cry. When I cried, my dog saw that I was sad, so he came leaning on me.

The next day, when I opened my eyes, my dog was sleeping on my bed, next to me but when I patted my dog to wake him up, he didn’t wake up. When I touched his heart, it was beating.

After this day, I never took my dogs to meat markets.
