Language is the carrier of culture, and it is also the communication and thinking tools of human being. The Chinese language subject is CPS is taught through different language unit, and aim to develop students' ability in reading, writing, listening and speaking. They would learn Chinese characters, make sentences and write passages, and read extensively
CPS also highly value Chinese literature and the immersion of Chinese culture. We compiled the the (智慧寶庫) teaching resources to enhance students' speaking and writing techniques. In P.3-P.6 we have introduced 'book learning' to develop student language skill; making sentences with pictures, 'little author', '意想「筆」到'. All these activities have encouraged students' creativity. We also provided online learning resources to motivate students' learning initiatives.。
Basing on the student-based philosophy, CPS lesson is interactive. Students would work in group and we encourage their participation. We also apply mind-mapping and enquiry-based learning.
