Lila and the Witch

Once upon a time, there was a princess named Lila. She lived in a castle filled with all kinds of wonderful things.
One day, while Lila was reading a secret magic book, poof! Suddenly, a witch appeared in front of her. The witch had messy, curly hair and bright green eyes. She asked Lila for her favorite thing. Lila held her book tight, smiled, and asked, “Why do you want it?” The witch smiled back and replied, “The book has a special spell that could give me great power, and if you don’t give it to me, I will cast a curse on your kingdom!”
Lila knew she had to think quickly to keep her home safe. Suddenly, the witch transported both Lila and herself to an old tower. At the top of the tower, the witch freed Lila, but before she left, she warned, “Don’t try to escape, my pretty one, or Horace the dragon will eat you up!”
Lila had no choice; she opened up a good page. After the witch performed the magic, she felt weak, and Lila’s kingdom became strong. The witch was so glad that she transported Princess Lila back to her home.
That night, Lila told her dad all about the witch. The king said, “We shall forgive her.” In the morning, the witch came to the kingdom to apologize. The king forgave her and told her that she could do no more spells. The witch agreed, threw away all the pots and things witches need, and gave her a bag of gold.
And they all lived happily ever after.
The End

Teacher’s comment:

The king was such a kind-hearted king that would forgive others’ wrongdoings!
