Blindness
If I were blind, I would not be able to see the beautiful world anymore. I could not see the big blue sky, the bright yellow sun, tall green trees, or the colourful flowers. I also could not see my parents’ kind faces, my friends’ happy smiles, or the cute animals around me. I would miss a lot of wonderful things!
Without my sight, life would be full of difficulties. I could not walk on the street or in the park by myself safely. I also could not read storybooks, draw colourful pictures, watch interesting cartoons or see blackboards covered with knowledge at school. I would have to listen carefully to all kinds of sounds and touch things softly to know what they are. I would need help from my family, teachers and friends to do many simple things in my daily life.
However, I would try my best to be brave and strong, and would not give up easily. I would still find joy in listening to some nice music, smelling sweet flowers and talking with people I love. This makes me realize that we should protect our eyes every day and always be kind and helpful to blind people around us.
Teacher’s comment:
Yes, being helpful and kind to those around us is important regardless if they are visually impaired or not.
