Everyone has a snack that they like. It could be nuts, chocolates or jellies, but my favourite snack is chocolate chip cookies. And today my sister and I wanted to bake some cookies.

Before baking cookies we had to buy the ingredients. To make chocolate chip cookies, we needed to buy ingredients like butter, eggs, flour and vanilla extract. Howevr, buying them wasn’t an easy job. We went to many different stores before we found the vanilla extract. Luckily, we found it in Welcome. After we bought the ingredients, we finally went home.

When we went home, we immediately put everything on the table, and started baking. First, we put in some butter. Then, we cracked an egg and stirred it up. Next, we got some flour, milk and vanilla extract. Then, we used our hands to mush it all together into a ball and squish it flat. Finally, we watched as the cookie baked in the oven.

After the cookies finished baking, we took the cookies out, the fresh smell of the cookies flew around the entire room. As we took a bite, we were a little disappointed that it didn’t taste like a cookie, but we were still happy because this was our first time, and we had a lot of fun! When we gave it to our parents…they said it tasted okay and that it tasted like bread.

After having this “baking cookie” experience, we have learnt from our mistakes. Now we are planning to bake another cookie, hopefully, it will taste better.
