Saving Santa

The alert came over the radio: “Emergency! Santa Claus is trapped in a chimney. Christmas might be canceled!” As soon as I heard it, I knew I had to do something to save Santa Claus. I quickly gathered my gear and dashed out the door. I swung open the car door – but wait! I didn’t know where Santa was trapped. I grabbed my phone, searched for the news, and saw a picture of Santa being stuck in a chimney. I found the location and sped out of the parking lot.

While driving, I thought about the two naughty kids at my house. They were so excited for their gifts from Santa and when they heard the news, they started bawling their eyes out. I didn’t want them to annoy me more, so I decided to help Santa. When I got there, I ran up to the chimney and saw Santa’s body wedged in the chimney, with a crowd of people in the parking lot – some holding cameras, others trying to pull him out. I didn’t want to waste time, so I ran up to help.

I ran up to the chimney and saw Santa’s leg swinging in the air while some people shouted for help. I took out my tools and started working to make space for Santa to climb out. First, I told the others to hold Santa’s legs steady, so he wouldn’t fall. Then, I used a small hammer to widen the chimney opening for Santa to climb out.

Finally, Santa was freed, and he thanked us over and over again. I felt so relieved and told Santa to hop onto his sleigh and deliver the presents. After that, I was really tired – but incredibly proud that we had saved Santa and Christmas! Thanks to everyone’s help, Christmas didn’t have to be canceled after all.
