The alert came over the radio: “Emergency! Santa Claus is trapped! Christmas will likely be cancelled!” As soon as I heard it, I knew I had to act fast. I quickly gathered my gear and headed out the door.

To my surprise, I found Santa stuck in the chimney of my own house! He had probably eaten too many cookies at the previous homes he had gone to and couldn’t move. I called my mom to help me figure out how to get Santa out.

A few moments later, my mom suggested that we tie a rope around his waist and use soap and water to help slide him out of the chimney. I agreed and explained the plan to Santa. We tried for ten minutes, but it didn’t work. Still, we went on and tried our very best. Finally, Santa popped free! He thanked us for saving him and rewarded us with a lot of presents. Time was running out, and he hurried off to deliver gifts to other families.

In the end, I felt relieved and joyful. My mom and I hadn’t just saved Santa, we had saved Christmas for everyone.
