From September 24 to 25, 2025, Hong Kong experienced terrible weather and strong wind as Super Typhoon Ragasa, the world’s most powerful storm this year, triggered the highest Typhoon signal 10.

The typhoon brought terribly strong winds, with maximum sustained wind reaching 230 kilometers per hour causing huge waves to crash onto the coastline and leading to flooding in low-lying areas, which damaged properties.

The city came to a standstill with hundreds of flight cancellations, school and business closures, and the suspension of most public transport services. The storm caused more than 100 injuries and caused widespread damage, including over 1000 fallen trees and a lot of flooding reports.

As the typhoon moved away, the city began to recover and people were safe now.
