In the summer of 2023, my parents and I went to Fuokuowa, Japan. It is a city famous for the historical legacy of Kyushu in Japan! We went by plane and we stayed there for six days and five nights.

One of the most popular zoos in Fukuoka Zoo. We went there in the morning, but it was already crowded by 8:00 am! At least we got to feed the “chonky” seals and the “waddle dudes”, also known as penguins. My dad and I touched some of the so-called “Mimosa pudica” on the way to where we boarded the cable car and went to the other side of the zoo.

Even though we were excited, we were soon bored and I HATED the smell of FLOWERS, so we went back to the animal enclosure and saw tall giraffes, colourful peacocks, bizarre spider monkeys and more CRAZY ANIMALS. At last, we ate shaved ice and a hot dog, delicious!

A few days later, we went to the Uminonakamichi Seaside Park. We went there by train then we hiked. Walking there was like drinking boiling water every step I took. Although the process was a nightmare, the outcome was nice and tiring in a good way. I jumped on some club trampolines and played with the refreshing water and cooled myself down with an ice towel. I saw some tall trees, pretty flowers and toddlers playing on the animal-shaped rides. Then, we ate hot dogs and fries with a cup of “Minimelts” ice cream!

On the very last morning, I ate some famous and scrumptious food in Fukuoka like the sweet, sour and salty yakitori, the fresh, slimy and cold sashimi and the sweetest strawberries I had in my life! And on the way back, I got some chewy, long and stretchy noodles. Japanese food is JUST TOO GOOD!

After we came back to Hong Kong, we started to decorate our home with the new souvenirs like the furry owl plush, the dog “sauishmallow”, the magnets, the keychains and much more. We gave some food to our friends and family, too!

I am very fulfilled after this trip. I love Fuokuowa because there are many activities to do and many food options to choose from. I love this place and I hope I can come back again sometime.
