Giving Advice on How to Deal with Dilemmas
Dear Nori,
How have you been? I have written this letter for you because I have thought of some ways to overcome your fear:
Firstly, I think you should practice more because according to the proverb “Practise makes perfect”, you will achieve your goals eventually. Even if you can’t present flawlessly now, at least it will help you improve.
Secondly, if I were you, I would also try to practice in front of my friends because it would help you have an experience on how presenting is under pressure. Then, when you present in class, you will be more familiar with how to present your best, even if you’re frightened.
My third opinion is to meditate because meditating is always a good option when you are emotionally stressed out.
Last but not least, try to make the least eye contact with the audience, especially with those who are mocking you.
Finally, concentrate hard on your presentation but not the audience because their faces can easily distract you and interrupt your concentration.
Good luck with your presentation, Nori. If you ever feel frightened again, feel free to ask me for more advice.
Yours,
Charlie
