In 1889, Nintendo made Hanafuda cards (flower cards). They were traditional Japanese playing cards. Each pack had 48 cards to play with.

In 1980, Nintendo released the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)---the first video game console ever! It had lots of famous games like “Mario”, “Link”, “Legend of Zelda”, “Pac-Man”, “Mega Man”, “Duck Hunt”, etc.

In 2006, Nintendo released its 6th console---the Wii. It is the first console ever for playing video games and doing sports at the same time! It had lots of good games like “Super Mario Galaxy 1+2”, “Wii Sports”, “Wii Fit”, “Mario Party 8+9”, etc.

In, 2025, Nintendo released the Nintendo Switch 2, the latest video game console. You can now talk to your friends, who also has a Switch 2, while gaming. There are still lots of games Nintendo is making right now!

Nintendo is one of the most famous video game companies ever (maybe even the best!) because it gives us lots of fun and cool games!
