I like a lot of different books. Among all of them, my favourite book is “PERCY JACKSON’ LIGHTNING THIEF”, written by Rick Riordan.

In the Lightning Thief, Percy Jackson was a 12-year-old boy who discovered he was a semigod after he narrowly escaped a monster attack. He arrived at Camp Half-Blood, where he was told of his ancestry and discovered his father was Poseidon (a God’s name). He was sent on a quest to recover Zeus who has a missing lightning bolt along with Annabeth, daughter of Athena, Grover, a satyr assigned to protect them. On their quest they encountered monsters and creatures from the underworld who tried to stop them from recovering the lightning bolt and returning it to its rightful owner.

I think this book is very interesting especially the part of the story about a casino which when you go inside, time passes way slower than outside. For example, when you go in for ten minutes, the people in the outside will have aged for ten years since one minute inside equals one year outside. I also think it is amazing because the gods have a lot of different cool powers. Moreover, I am surprised that Luke, who had been helping Percy all along had betrayed him in the end. I hope my friends won’t betray me like Luke did. Last but not least, I wish to have a chance to go on some kinds of exciting adventures like Perry did.
