The Lost and Found

Last Sunday, it was very windy and cold. After violin class, Terry went to the park to relax. There, he saw a stray dog holding onto a ball, so Terry decided to play with the dog. To do that, he put his violin on the bench.

In the afternoon, Terry started feeling hungry, so he went to a restaurant to pick up some food to eat in the park. After getting the food, he returned to the park, but when he saw that his violin was gone, he felt very upset. He remembered that his sweet grandma had given it to him for his birthday, and he was also worried about being scolded.

When he got back home, he told his parents what had happened. They didn’t scold him, though. They simply said, “Why don’t we go to the lost and found and check if they have it?” Terry nodded in agreement. So, Terry and his parents went to the lost and found.

When they arrived, they told the front desk how the violin looked and when they had lost it. Moments later, the front desk staff found a violin in a black case — it was Terry’s! They thanked the staff and went back home.

After that day, Terry felt relieved and learned that when you have a problem, you shouldn’t give up so easily. There is a solution to every problem.
