Last Saturday, I went to have a barbecue in the countryside to spend time with my mom and dad. We brought lots of food like corn, bread, chicken wings, apple juice and lots more, but there was an unexpected guest.

We all sat down close to the fire, I started to make some chicken skewers while mom and dad made some corn and pork for us to eat. We were very happy to spend time with each other. Then, a few minutes later, a stray dog came over from a bush and took mom’s handbag because we put the loaf of bread in it. I thought the stray dog was hungry, so he took it. The stray dog had light brown fur and a white patch on his mouth.
When I saw the stray dog which took mom’s handbag, I told mom and we all looked at the stray and mom tried to stop it but he left. We were all scared and shocked. I told mom we could follow the stray dog, so we went to follow the stray dog.

We followed the stray dog until it stopped. We found out that the stray dog has stray puppies and they were hungry and the stray dog was trying to find food for them. We felt bad, so we went back and cooked some more food for them to eat. I could tell they were happy and I was too. I’m glad I could help them, I was proud of myself for doing the right thing.
