Climate change in arctic

With the increase in global warming, life is getting more complex and more challenging in the Arctic. The key for the animals to survive is to get away from predators and get as much food as possible.

Some animals, such as polar bears, hunt to survive, but the ice is getting smaller and smaller due to climate change. This made it harder for them to do surprise attacks. Then, the bears had to hunt for birds, whales or even berries.

Meanwhile, more ice melts makes it harder for prey such as seals to hide from polar bears and penguins to survive from seals.

Some animals, such as arctic foxes and scavenger birds, are the ultimate profiteers. If any animal gets a kill, they can immediately run or fly to gobble away some food. So, we can say they nearly don’t need to hunt alone and they rely on others.

Climate change has brought animals more problems. They are not just facing hunger problems. They are also facing population and other problems. As scientists predict, many kinds of animal will be extinct in around 500 years because of humans.

If more ice melts, more animals face dangers. As a member of human, we should stop being selfish. Animals are not born for us to bully. We shall respect them and stop polluting the earth.
