In An Unforgettable Holiday

In the last summer holiday, my brother Caleb and I decided to go to Shackes Peare4all for drama lessons again. When we were 3 to 4 years old, we tried English drama lessons there for the first time but we did not actually perform on stage in a real theatre as we were too young. For us to perform in a full drama show, we needed to do many rehearsals within one and a half month. Besides, my brother and I did not do it alone because there were 52 children in total joining the rehearsal for the show. All children performing in the show had to be seven to fifteen years old. So we were almost the youngest because we were only nine years old. During the rehearsals, we made a lot of friends. It was actually not very easy to make friends because we were busy to remember scripts. We did not just speak out lines and do all our stuff. We would also dance and sing. However, you would be wrong to think that speaking alone was a very easy task since each of the top ten characters(not us) had to speak a lot of lines as well as using the voice dramatically to entertain the audience. The worse part of the show was make-up as we had to put on some make-up and it was hard to remove afterwards.

The show was unforgettable because it was the first time we went on a stage in the theatre as well as earning some reward money from my parents.

Teacher comment:

I’m sure you + Caleb are good actors now! Yes, I understand it’s never easy to remember the scripts + act at the same time. It was such good + valuable experience for you two!
