Stranded Island
Feeling excited, Natalie, Justin and I got on the ferry to Cheung Chau. Thinking about the gigantic fish balls, juicy mango mocha and crispy deep-fried ice-cream made our mouths water!
A while later, an ear-splitting cracking noise destroyed everyone’s good mood. “Look! There is a huge hole in the ferry! The water is coming in!” screamed Justin, at the top of his lungs. Immediately, we put on our life jackets and jumped into the freezing sea.
The three of us swam towards the nearest island with stamina. It was physically demanding, so we passed out on the beach. We woke up hours later to find that the sky was completely dark. “What’s that noise?” I asked curiously. Natalie and Justin stared at each other with embarrassment and said together, “We are starving!” “Let’s explore this island!” I suggested. We found apple, orange and mango trees in the forest. However, the fruit tree were too high, so we thought of a fantastic idea – which is climbing onto the only boy’s shoulder. After our tiring work, we couldn’t wait to eat the fresh fruits for refreshments.
The next morning, hundreds of empathetic dolphins were swimming to our island and gave us a thoughtful sign – they could give us a ride back to the city! During the ride, it was as excited as riding the roller coasters, swimming up and down quickly. It was so entertaining! Lastly, we got back to our daily life and said, “Thank you,” to the dolphins.
